The London Green Party LGBT Group was formed in November 2006 to provide a forum for LGBT members. The group aims to build upon and celebrate the progress made towards human rights recognition globally but especially in terms of equality and respect for diversity towards the LGBT community. We aim to recruit new members for the Green Party from the LGBT communities, and to raise LGBT issues within the party.
General Election Manifesto
The Green Party has a long and proud history of campaigning for social justice. Our
Manifesto for a Sustainable Society opens with a clear, philosophical commitment to
tackling all forms of discrimination: 'A healthy society is based on voluntary
co-operation between empowered individuals in a democratic society, free from
discrimination whether based on race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, religion,
social origin or any other prejudice.'
