This February a brand new competition is taking place in Bournemouth, with a host of local talent live on stage and representing the town's biggest gay bars and clubs.

All the performers will face a tough panel of local celebrity judges, with the best Drag King or Queen winning a cash prize and prime position in the Bourne Free Pride Parade this July.

Bournemouth's Got The Bourne Free Pride Factor... And Possibly A New Drag Idol Strictly In The Xchange will also feature some top professional acts, including Kitty Monroe, Lynda La Whore, Guy Hurley and Gareth Hughes.

The fundraising night is on Friday 27th February with the first act at 8pm. It is being hosted by The Xchange, a legendary venue in the heart of The Triangle, Bournemouth's gay village.

An entry fee of £2 applies, with all proceeds going to the charity Bourne Free - Bournemouth's Pride Festival, which in 2009 takes place across 3 days from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th of July.
