Ryan CleminsonUK and Gibraltar Government denying equality to LGBT Community of Gibraltar, Says LGBT Spokesperson for South West England Green Party's LGBT Group

The Borough of Poole Council have today outlined their plans for LGBT History Month' which runs for the whole of February.

These include a book display in Poole Central Library and supporting the creation of a Poole-based 'SPACE LGBT' youth group.

South West Green Party LGBT spokesperson Ryan Cleminson said' in response to this news:

"I would like to extend my thanks and congratulations to the Council for this initiative. Officers are clearly taking LGBT equality issues seriously' which is great news for us. Their support for LGBT History Month has been noted and I commend them".

Mr Cleminson added:

" In formally supporting the local LGBT community in this way' Poole Borough Council set an excellent example and precedent to other Councils.

I have also been informed that they intend to support the annual pride event in Bournemouth and are prepared to fly the Rainbow Flag on the Council building on Idaho Day' the International Day Against Homophobia."
