Location: Leeds
Details
Leeds Pride will take place on Sunday 3rd August 2008. Opening the event, in Leeds Millennium Square, will be civic leaders welcoming the vast crowds of LGBT people, their families, friends and allies to the city. Then the fun begins with the opening of the main-stage graced by some of the region's and country's top performers. As the crowd are entertained the floats are being marshalled for the centrepiece of Leeds Pride, the massive parade through the City. As the paraders and floats rumble, sashay, skip, scream and whistle around the specially designed route to ensure maximum visibility, the city's Gay venues are readying themselves for their busiest day of the year; determined to do what they do best - keeping the revellers entertained to the early hours.
